About Ithaca United Soccer Club
Soccer in Tompkins County involves many people in an all volunteer organization. Adult soccer leagues for the general public in the greater Ithaca area are conducted by the Ithaca United Soccer Club, Inc. Teams have played with us from Syracuse to Binghamton and Elmira.
The IUSC is run by a Board of Directors within the paramaters of the adopted bylaws. Board members are volunteers of the IUSC. Currently, the are two paid positions necessary to run the adult leagues: The Referee & Facilities Coordinator and the League Coordinator, who administers the season. |
PURPOSE
The purpose of IUSC is to organize and fund soccer for adult players in Tompkins County. IUSC believes that soccer is a fun, healthy and community spirited sport. IUSC believes that soccer supports many levels of skill and styles of play. IUSC is only for the players and the sport of soccer. IUSC is incorporated for the purposes of:
- Promoting the interest in the sport of soccer; Forming Leagues and clubs which compete in the game of soccer; Providing social and athletic recreation for its members and guests.
- Holding and promoting soccer games and tournaments, entertainment, lectures, social affairs, celebrations, exhibitions, amusements of any and all descriptions for the general enjoyment and instruction of the membership and its guests.
- Doing any other act or thing incidental to or connected with the foregoing purposes or in advancement thereof, but not for the pecuniary profit or financial gain of its members, directors, or officers.
